STYLE IT

The find is just
the beginning.

Buy with a little intention.
Make it your own with a little imagination.

IN YOUR CLOSET

The better-blazer checklist

Before you fall for the label, look at how the piece is made and how it fits your life.

Start with the shoulders

Try the blazer on and move your arms. Check that the shoulders sit comfortably and the jacket closes without pulling. A bargain is only useful if you want to wear it.

Look a little closer

Check the lining, seams, underarms, cuffs, and pockets. Look for small holes or stains in good light, and read the care label before deciding.

Imagine three outfits

Picture it with trousers you own, your favorite denim, and a simple dress or skirt. If you can see it in your real wardrobe, it deserves a second look.

IN YOUR HOME

The collected-corner formula

You don’t need a matching set. Start with a few pieces that feel good together.

Start with something useful

A chair, a side table, or a sturdy tray gives the arrangement a purpose. Measure your space before shopping, and check that the piece is stable and sound.

Mix texture and height

Pair wood with glass or metal. Stack a few books beneath a small object and leave open space around the arrangement. Different heights give the eye somewhere to go.

Let one piece be the surprise

An unusual vase, a favorite print, or a small vintage bowl is enough. Let that piece lead, and keep the surrounding objects simple.

CLOSE TO HOME. FULL OF POSSIBILITY.

Your next Saturday
could be a treasure hunt.

The Arkansas Thrift Map will bring together local stops, personal notes, and routes worth making a morning of. Starting close to home, in Little Rock.

MEET THE EYE BEHIND THE FINDS

Hi, I’m Lan.
I’m probably looking
at something shiny.

Arkansas Thrifter brings together the things I love: personal style, a home with character, and the thrill of finding something special where you least expect it.

I’m here for the where, the what, and the how: where to look, what catches my eye, and how a secondhand find becomes part of everyday life.

See you on the hunt,
Lan
